Assessment & Reporting

Assessment is an integral part of teaching and learning and pupils are continuously assessed in an informal way as part of the daily classroom routine. At other times a variety of tests may be used to help teachers assess pupil progress and diagnose any learning difficulties and strengths.
This year we have been allocated a Building Back Better teacher who will be working with children in Primary 1, 4 and 7 children to provide support and data regarding attainment in school.

All parents will receive an official school report at the end of the school session and an interim report in October each year. Contents of each report will form the basis for discussion at the Progress Conversation Evenings.

Parents are welcome to discuss their child’s progress at other times. Those wishing to do so should contact the school to arrange a mutually suitable time.
