Learning from Home During the Covid 19 Pandemic (Blended Learning)

Glow – Microsoft TEAMS

Pupils have access to their Glow accounts and will find a range of information provided by their own teachers in their subject areas that will be very helpful in providing continuity for their learning. Class teachers have created TEAMS to share work directly with the classes and year groups. These have been split into channels for each subject.

Should any pupil require their GLOW login details then please e-mail: technology@calderhead.n-lanark.sch.uk .

As well as accessing TEAMS on computers and laptops, pupils can also access it on their mobile phone or tablet. They can download the TEAMS app then use their Glow email address and Glow password to login to the app. The Glow email address is the pupil’s Glow login followed by @glow.sch.uk. Remember that pupils can also download and install Microsoft office on their home computer by clicking on the Office 365 Home Tab on the Glow homepage.

Homework will be distributed to pupils on TEAMS in a number of different ways, including

Assignments: If you click on the Assignments tab on the left hand side of the screen it will bring up all your assignments in date order. (Who knew you could use this to prove to your parents that you had done all your work!)

During these troubling times, there are many educational resources available online to help with home schooling and more are being added every day. We have gathered a list of websites that pupils, parents, carers and staff may find useful but this list is not exhaustive. We will endeavour to add more sites over the next few weeks and would ask that you let us know if you come across any that you have found useful.
