The link below takes you to the School Calendar for this session. This includes the dates for all Parents’ Nights, Tracking Reports and Full Reports. It also includes when the official school holidays are. The S4 Prelims begin on the 5th of December 2024 and the S5/6 Prelims are scheduled to begin on the 12th February 2025. The SQA exams will begin on Wednesday 23rd April, 2025 and finish on the 2nd June 2025, as yet we do not know the exact days of each exam.
We have changed the date of the S4 Parents’ Meeting from 31st October to Thursday 7th November in order to avoid Halloween.
The date of the INSET Day 3 has moved to Monday 18th November.
Both of these changes are in version 2 of the Calendar.
Any concerns around Child Protection should be brought immediately to the attention of the Child Protection Co-ordinator. In Calderhead High School, this is Ms M. M. Darragh, Depute Head Teacher. In her absence, direct the concern to Mr Robertson, Headteacher or PT Pupil Support.
Rationale
All children have a right to be protected from abuse and neglect, therefore child protection is the responsibility of everyone. The shared responsibilities of Education & Families and other agency employees are to protect children from abuse and exploitation, to respond appropriately when abuse is identified and to ensure whenever possible that all children can exercise their right to be raised in a warm, stimulating, and safe environment with the support of staff, their families and carers. It is the clear responsibility of all those involved in our school to adopt good practice throughout their work.
Please find attached the Assessment Calendar, which will be used at Calderhead after the Easter holidays.
After consultation with pupils and staff it was decided that all Assessments will take in class at normal timetabled times. We hope that this will give all pupils the opportunity to attain the best results possible for each subject.
At first glance the Calendar looks to have a lot of Assessments on it, but each pupil should highlight only the Assessments that they are sitting and this will make it relevant to them.
If anyone has any questions about the Calendar please feel free to call me at the school.
Kind regards, Gordon Graham
Depute Head Teacher

Online payments are being introduced in all schools across North Lanarkshire to provide parents/carers with more convenient and flexible methods of payment for school expenses. This service will also allow pupils to reduce the amount of cash they carry to school and help reduce administration and cash handling in schools. Cash and cheque payments can still be made in the same way as at present.
The new safe and secure payment system, called iPayImpact, will enable parents/carers to pay online for school uniform, trips and other school expenses using a credit or debit card. As soon as funds are added for school meals, the money will immediately be available for your child/children to spend in the school canteen.
Letters with full information about the system and details of your child’s unique activation code have been sent home with pupils (see example below). If you have not received this letter, please contact the school.
