Calderhead High School senior pupils agreed to get together to record their message of hope for everyone affected by the 2021 lockdown. Their message is simple…‘See you again’
We are very proud of our extremely talented pupils and staff and we look forward to seeing everyone again.
Please find attached the Assessment Calendar, which will be used at Calderhead after the Easter holidays.
After consultation with pupils and staff it was decided that all Assessments will take in class at normal timetabled times. We hope that this will give all pupils the opportunity to attain the best results possible for each subject.
At first glance the Calendar looks to have a lot of Assessments on it, but each pupil should highlight only the Assessments that they are sitting and this will make it relevant to them.
If anyone has any questions about the Calendar please feel free to call me at the school.
Kind regards, Gordon Graham
Depute Head Teacher
Due to our registration system showing the school as being closed to all pupils for two weeks, the Educational Maintenance Allowance (EMA) payments have been delayed and will be paid in full on 15th May. This payment will be for four weeks instead of just the usual two.
We will receive further instructions from SQA after Easter and will keep parents, carers and young people updated. Thank you for your ongoing support in these difficult times.
Calderhead High School is hosting a Careers Event at school on 25th January . This event will include workshops and talks by former pupils and friends of the school and there will also be over twenty different stalls in the Assembly Hall with information about a wide range of careers.
At Calderhead, we are keen to encourage pupils to plan for their future and explore all opportunities and career paths, including higher education, further education, employment, apprenticeships, training or volunteering. We offer work experience placements, employer visits, visits to training providers, University and College campus visits, application form support, and community projects – including charity work. For more information, please see our post-school options pages.
There have been lots of fun events already taking place in school to help raise funds for Children in Need.
Painful Leg Wax!
Guess the birthday bear
Senior boys bravely agreed to get their legs waxed for Children in Need after school in the Hair and Beauty suite.
Senior pupils sold raffle tickets and persuaded pupils and staff to ‘Guess the Bear’s Birthday’.
There will be a non-uniform day tomorrow and we’re all looking forward to seeing our talented staff and pupils taking part in the school show tomorrow afternoon.
