Digital School Award

Digital Schools Award – Bargarran Primary School

We are over the moon to announce we have become a Digital School. The Digital leaders, supported by Miss Cairney and Miss McPherson, and the staff have worked so hard to embed computing science and digital literacy in our school. We are so proud of our fantastic achievement!

Sports Scotland Gold Award

We have been awarded Gold from Sports Scotland, School Sports again! The Sport Scotland is an award to encourage schools to continuously improve physical education and sport. The award also encourages sporting links between schools and communities. The award ensures that children are at the forefront and planning of PE and sport in their school. Our Sports Committee, led and supported by Mrs Wilson, Miss McGuiness and Mrs Jardine worked tirelessly to help us gain this gold status and we are so proud of all our children for their hard work and effort.

Reading School Award

Reading Schools: self-evaluation templates - Scottish Book Trust

In 2023, Calderbridge Primary became the first school in North Lanarkshire to be awarded reading school accreditation by the Scottish Book Trust for the work we are doing to promote and develop reading for enjoyment.
Research proves that reading for pleasure supports equity and wellbeing, impacts learners’ attainment, and encourages critical thinking, creativity, empathy and resilience.
At Calderbridge we love celebrating reading, authors and stories and are so proud of our journey and achievements.

Rights Respecting Schools Silver Award

Rights Respecting School Silver Award - Colmers Farm

We are now a Silver Rights Respecting School. As a school, we are working towards achieving our Gold Rights Respecting award.
