The Malawi Committee!

As a group, we formed as a committee in February this year and have loved every minute of it so far. We are looking to try and raise as much money as possible to buy materials, equipment and resources to send to the Malawian school that we have been paired to. For example, a huge drive of the project is to provide help and support to young children to hopefully allow them to attend school. We also have a massive opportunity to visit our Malawian school and assess the impact of our hard work and some of our money will also go towards our visit.

We are using this project as a means to develop our own interpersonal skills such as building confidence, taking responsibility, communication, team-work and problem solving.

‘Aiming Higher in Malawi’ is a North Lanarkshire endorsed project founded in 2004, it has prospered at the hands of many organisations, schools and individuals and here at Braidhurst we aim to follow that tradition and raise as much money as possible.
