S3

Course Overview

This year will be an opportunity for pupils to further hone their Art and Design skills by exploring more specialist techniques based on basic skills. These include , drawing, painting, printmaking and ceramics which were developed in the first and second year course. In undertaking the S3 course we hope pupils will find units of learning rich, varied and challenging, sparking areas of interest they would like to investigate further within their fourth year folio projects. Throughout the year pupils will work in partnership with Teachers to evaluate their work in all units of learning and discuss what levels they are working at in line with the Curriculum for Excellence.

Please see the Curriculum for Excellence Experiences and Outcomes for Art and Design to help explain what is involved in achieving a Level.
