We Won!!!!
Today two Primary 7 pupils, Mrs Devine, Mrs McCafferty (UGS) and Mrs McHenry (Bothwell PS) attended North Lanarkshire Council’s 2+1 Modern Language Awards at Airdrie Football Stadium.
I’m delighted and extremely proud to say that our cluster won a special award for good practise of Primary and Secondary transition.
Our cluster schools work collaboratively to plan and resource a progressive modern language programme to ensure a smooth transition for children from two local authorities coming together to learn languages at secondary school. Each year we plan and host a European Day to celebrate the learning of languages and provide an opportunity for children to make friends before starting Uddingston Grammar in August. Primary 7 pupils are looking forward to attending our European Day at Bothwell Primary tomorrow morning.
