What to Expect?
The National 4 Biology course is comprised of 3 core units and 1 added value unit which is internally assessed.
Each unit builds upon the basic foundations taught during the BGE phase and introduces exciting new concepts for a deeper understanding of how planet earth is delicately balanced and the inner workings of the human body functions.
As with all Science, numeracy skills will be a key component throughout as you understand how to complete core skills such as calculating averages, percentages and graph drawing.
What are the Units?
Each unit is made up of approximately 6 key areas and consists of individual tasks, independent research and core knowledge questions.
The names of each unit are as follows:
1. Cell Biology
2. Multicellular Organisms
3. Life on Earth

All resources for the course will be made available via the class team including PowerPoints, worksheets, videos and virtual classrooms which have content tailored to this level.
