The Junior Road Safety Officers will be giving out information to each class about this competition tomorrow. The competition involves creating a positive Road Safety message for the 2018 calendar, so come on Westfield, let’s get creative!

The Junior Road Safety Officers got to meet Ziggy, the road safety mascot! The JRS Officers also learned lots about the importance of road safety and how they can help their peers to make safe choices when crossing the road.

Even the weather didn’t dampen our spirits and everyone had a great time. We even got a brief view from the top when the wind cleared the clouds for a few seconds.

Our annual hill walk takes place on Tuesday 13th June. If you can help out by walking with a group of children (it’s good exercise and plenty of fresh air) then please contact myself, Miss Reilly at the school by Friday 9th June so that I can make up the list of helpers. Even if your child is not in P5 – P7 you are more than welcome to come along, all help would be greatly appreciated. Here’s hoping for a sunny day.
