Welcome back everyone – hope you had a lovely weekend.
This week we welcome two Med 3rd Year students. They will be working in Primary 5 and Primary 6. We wish them well and hope they enjoy their time at our school.
We also welcome two sports leaders from St Aidan’s high, they will be working with our P4/5 and P5 classes on Monday morning.
On Tuesday some of our Primary 7 pupils will be attending the Mock Court Finals to collect an award. They will also be performing two songs – Ae Fond Kiss & The Prayer. All the Primary 7 children worked very hard on this project at the beginning of the year and it is good to see that their efforts have paid off.
Some of our pupils from P5 to P7 will be attending the Cross Country Finals on Tuesday morning. The pupils involved have worked hard with their coach Pamela over the last few months. We wish them well and hope that all their training pays off!
Mrs McGinley will be working with some of our girls to choregraph a dance for the dance festival coming up soon.
Our Syrian families have now been with us for a year. The children have settled in really well and we have enjoyed having them in our school. On Wednesday there will be celebration of their first year here. One of our Primary 5 girls will a Highland Dance at this event.
Parent Council/AGM – This will take place on Tuesday 13th March at 6.00pm. Please come along if you can.
Lenten Acitivity – On Friday there will be a Cake & Candy organised by the Primay 5 children. It is also odd socks/shoes/ clothes day
Assembly Friday 11.00am – This week Primary 5 will be doing an assembly about the book they have been studying in class – The Butterfly Lion – All parents/carers .are welcome to come along.
First Confession Preparation mass – Sunday 18th March at 10.00am mass. First Confession on Monday 19th March at 7.00pm. Please keep the children in your prayers.
If you can please come along to morning mass at 8.20am. It is great to see so many children and families there. The senior children also lead the Stations of the Cross at 1.15pm on a Friday.
