St Ignatius' PS

Weekly Blog – Week Beginning 26/3/18

At last we have made it to the final week of a very busy term. A big thank you to everyone who has been involved in our Lenten activities and for all the contributions that have been made to our Lenten charities. We will announce the total at the end of this week.

Entries for decorate the Easter Egg & Easter bonnet competition should be brought into school for Thursday.

On Thursday afternoon the final Lenten activity will take place ‘St Ignatius has got talent’ show. This is always a big favourite with staff and pupils. We are always amazed at the talent in our school.

Last Friday we had ‘I am a captain get me out of here’. This year Barra won the challenge!

Primary 5 will attend the swimming this week. Hopefully the children will get into the pool this week!

Super assembly about St Patrick on Friday. The Primary 7 children did a great job in such a short period of time. They have been very busy the last few weeks. It was finished off perfectly with our very talented Irish Dancers, Erin and Anna. This week’s assembly by P4/5 is about Bridges. Again please come along if you can at 11.00am in the school.

The number of children attending 8.20am mass has been excellent. A big thank you to all the children and their families for making this effort. Last mass will be Tuesday morning. The school will attend mass on Wednesday at 9.30am. On Friday our senior pupils will lead the Stations of the Cross at 12.00. Again thank you to the children and their families for supporting the school and Church with this.

Thank you to everyone who completed the online parents’ questionnaire. Thank you for all the very positive feedback and suggestions to further improve the school.

School will close on Thursday at 2.30pm and reopen on Monday 16th April at 8.55am.

Hope you all have a lovely Easter Break.
