Good Morning Room 1,

As you can see I am so excited today as we have our TEAM chats at 12 & 12.30.

I thought today we could read a book together and do some o’clock work.If there is time, we can try a game on Education City. I have been missing reading and working with you all.

In the meantime, try and write a sentence for each of your new spelling words, has, had & see. It is really important that you are trying to write something each day to keep those writing skills sharp.

Good morning!

I have just had a lovely chat with some of you over on Teams, it was great to catch up! Hopefully next time we will have even more of you joining us. There is another meeting for some of you scheduled for tomorrow at 11am, check your Glow emails for the invitation!

Today we were talking about The Ickabog, JK Rowling’s new fairytale which she is publishing on a website for all the children on lockdown to enjoy. I have just read the first two chapters and, wow, what rich, vivid, detailed settings and characters she has created already!

Miss Rossetti has posted links to the book and the accompanying illustration competition over on Room 14’s blog page, so please have a look there. It would be great to see what you imagine the characters and setting would look like, so have a go!

and choose a book to read.  Which one did you go for?  Certain books can be read to you.  All the Traditional Tales have that option if you choose them from the series search bar.

I’ll be logging onto Sumdog too and sending out coins for everyone who did some work yesterday.

When I’m finished working today I can’t wait to get started reading J.K. Rowling’s new book The Ickabog.  I can’t wait to see where her imagination has taken her now.  I’ll let you know my thoughts tomorrow.

Hope you are all well and have been working hard on your poetry challenge. I’m looking forward to reading them!

Today’s task gives us the chance to focus on our mental wellbeing which now, more than ever is so important.

Using your knowledge of Emotion Works I want you to create your own emotion story using the cogs below. Identify an emotion you are feeling or have felt recently and follow the cogs to create the story of that emotion, finally arriving at the strategies you used to feel better (blue cog).

Here is Miss Rossetti’s friend Celine again, today she is looking at science experiments we can do with our body!

Celine will talk you through easy peasy demos to do called, “ring finger riddle”, “silly words”, “extra tendon” and “sausage finger”. All you will need to join in is, ‘you’ – though it’s always a good laugh if the rest of the household join in too – this one is fun for all the family!

Good morning Room 14, Happy Wednesday! Almost the weekend again.

Everyone should have received their invite to the Teams catch up tomorrow. This week we only have 2 groups, one group at 1pm and one group at 2pm. Please remember to accept your invite!

I wanted to come on today to post a link to something SO EXCITING!!!!!!!!!! As some of you may know J K Rowling published the first two chapters of her new book ‘The Ickabog’ yesterday. Each week she will publish 2 more chapters and in 6 weeks time, you will have the full book. I have read the first 2 chapters and it is fabulous. I can’t wait for the rest to be published.

Hello Room 12!

Study Ladder activities are available on your online pods and the SumDog challenge is still active.

This Sunday coming, is the celebration of the Pentecost where the Holy Spirit visited the Apostles. I have uploaded the Pentecost story to our teams page for you to read alongside a worksheet that you could either copy out onto your paper or print. A short YouTube clip has been added below which also teaches you about The Pentecost.
