Good morning P7,
It’s ‘Wellbeing Wednesday’, a time for us to reflect on our emotional wellbeing and promote some self care because that is really important at the moment.
Today’s task has a focus on our emotions.
The more we learn about emotions, the more we understand them and the easier it becomes for us to put them into words.
When we put our emotions into words we become more comfortable dealing with them in a healthy, positive way.
Everyone’s feeling emotional right now, there is not a person in the whole world who hasn’t in some way been affected by the current health situation and so the phrase ‘riding an emotional corona-coaster’ has been invented.
When you think of a roller coaster you immediately think of ups and downs – highs and lows. And that may well be the type of experiences you are having with your emotions right now – and that’s perfectly OK!!
So, using the visual idea of a rollercoaster I would like you to have a go at drawing your own ‘Corona-Coaster’ adding in the words that describe all of the different emotions you have been feeling recently.
The example below is from the Emotion Works programme and shows a huge range of emotions.
If you would like to share your work then you can send it over to me on our Teams page.
I’m looking forward to catching up with you all later in our meeting at 1.45pm.
Have a lovely day P7,
Stay safe & keep smiling…
Mrs H 😊

Thank you to everyone who joined our class chat today! It was great to speak to you and hear how you are getting on! We had some good ideas for more home learning activities and we are having another meeting this Friday at 12 noon. I will prepare a quiz on ‘The Ickabog’ so if you haven’t read it yet – here’s the link.
Have a great day! Love,

Good morning Room 9. I hope you are all well. Please check your TEAMS account. You have been invited to a chat at 12. I’ll be available then for a wee blether if you feel like it.
For today’s task, as well as Sumdog and Studyladder, I’d like you to log into our classroom on https://www.oxfordowl.co.uk/ and log in with username room nine and password room9. Please search for the book Animal Magic and read through it. You can listen to the book if you’re stuck with any of the words. Please complete at least one of the play activities at the end of the book and let me know how you got on. Tell me one interesting thing you learned from the book.
Have a wonderful day!

Good morning everyone! I hope you are all well. This week I set a task for Room 14 to capture a picture using an ipad, phone or even an actual camera (when was the last anyone used an actual camera?) that we could entitle “Lockdown in Colour”. I thought some of you might want to join in with this task so I am now inviting everyone to join in.
You can photograph anything you wish although I am not looking for any people in the picture. So perhaps you may photograph flowers, gardens, paddling pools, rainbows, birds or ice lollies. You can experiment with different shots, wide angles, close up, panoramic. Select your best picture and email it to me. I am going to make a nice slideshow with the pictures you take! Enjoy!
