Good Morning P6,

I am looking forward to catching up with everyone this afternoon! I hope to hear from as many of you as possible. Remember there are only 2 groups today, 1pm and 2pm 💜…

Today is week 10 of clapping for our NHS and Key Worker heroes.

We have explored lots of different types of careers and workplaces in class so far this year and today I thought we could focus on the huge variety of jobs within the NHS.

There are over 350 different careers in the NHS – it isn’t just doctors and nurses.

Here are a few other roles:

Dentist, Radiographer, Physiotherapist, Speech and Language Therapist, Anaesthetist, Paramedic, Ambulance, Technician, Osteopath, Podiatrist, Occupational Therapist, Dietician, School Nurse, Pharmacist, Midwife, Dental Hygienist, Health Visitor, Mental Health Nurse, Pathologist, GP, Forensic PsychologistSurgeon, Phlebotomist, Neurologist, Porter, Catering Manager, Domestic Assistant, Optometrist, Receptionist, Health Care Support Worker, Emergency Call Handler, Theatre Nurse, Intensive Care Nurse, Virologist, Paediatrician, Prosthetic Support Worker, Audiologist, IT service Desk Technician, Medical Secretary, Medical Illustrator, Oncologist.

Choose one of the roles and carry out some research to find out as much detail as you can about the job.

If you know someone who works in the one of these roles maybe you could ask them some questions as part of your research.

Consider things like the qualifications needed for the role? Type of training needed? What personal skills are needed? What are the main responsibilities of the job?

You can choose to display your research in many ways:-  a poster, a mind map, fact file, digital display or a written report. It’s up to you!

Happy researching!

Have a good day everyone, stay safe & keep smiling!

Lots of love,

Miss Rossetti 🌈 💜
