Wednesday 25th March
Good morning everybody, Thank you for sending me your emails, letting me know what you have been doing and attaching images of your work. This is a lovely way to keep in touch and I am enjoying reading your emails and seeing what you have been learning about. I hope you are all staying safe and exploring the apps and online learning that you took home last week. There are lots more online learning becoming available, so I will look at those today and list a variety of them over the next few days so you can have fun exploring them also. Today’s tasks are listed below.
Literacy – I have set you a task to complete on study ladder. Log in to studyladder using your username and password and complete the first 5 activities within the module set.
Numeracy – Access Topmarks online, choose a game and have some fun. Spend 30 minutes on the game.
Health and Wellbeing – Access PE with Joe (Joe Wicks Fitness for schools/The Body Coach) on Youtube. (I will also be doing this too, remember to have fun and drink plenty of water)
Modern Languages – Access Tiny Cards Duolingo online or on the tiny cards app – work on French basics.

Room 1 and Room 2
Good morning,
It is Wednesday and that means it is our story writing day. Today’s writing your task is to write about being a superhero for a day. What superhero would you be? What are your special powers?
Be as creative as you like and pop it in your journal as we would love to hear your stories when we are all back at school.
Enjoy!

Wednesday 25th March Room 1 & 2 Tasks
Good morning boys and girls in Rooms 1 & 2.
For Numeracy today try the following website – www.themathsfactor.com. Carol Vorderman’s maths school for 4-11 year olds is free for everyone to use while the schools are closed. You can watch her maths videos, play games and practise.
Try and exercise today at some point too. Why not try a Joe Wicks Body Coach live workout or kids workout (you will find these on You Tube). They are great fun to get you moving.
Have fun today and stay home.

Morning boys and girls 🌈,
Hope you are all well 💜
As today is Wednesday and we love to do our story writing why not write a story . You can make it about anything you like ! Just remember to include WHEN, WHERE, WHO and try to include at least 3 things that happened . If you would like some ideas to help you then why not use the story spinner website that we use in class 😄
http://www.scholastic.com/teachers/story-s
You could also practise some subtraction sums today on some paper or on topmarks .
https://www.starfall.com/h/addsub/addsub-l
Remember to keep active too 🚶🏽♀️🏃. Why not try Joe Wicks if you haven’t already or type Just Dance into You Tube and do one of your favourite dances 💜

Hello lovely my boys and girls,
I hope you are doing ok – I am really missing you all and hope you are you families are keeping well.
Sorry I missed you all last week, my daughter was unwell and my family have had to stay at home and are still here. She is on the mend and we are doing some home school work too.
You were all issued a ‘Home Learning Plan’ in-case the time came that we all had to stay off school. We discussed all the different activities when they were issued.
So just a reminder. You all have details for :
Sumdog, Studyladder and Espresso through Discovery Education.
You all also should have been given booklets to continue to practise your Times Tables- x2/x3/x4/x5/x10- you are all doing so well and improving your speedy recall, so keep practising!
You have a booklet to learn about Aspects of Measure which has some nice ideas. I’ll add more Studyladder Resources for this next week.
Remember there are lots of great free games on Topmarks including The Mental Maths Train which we use to practise our mental agility- lots of different settings for the four operations- addition/subtraction/multiplication/division. We have yet to cover division but that doesn’t need to stop you giving yourself a challenge.
Remember Storylineonline is good for stories and there are lots in Espresso too!
I hope you find included additional ideas from NLC’s Literacy and Maths & Numeracy Activities.
Remember to keep fit too,if you can, and try some Just Dance or Joe Wicks workouts on Youtube.
For relaxation ZenDen is also available for free on Youtube and there are lots of nice children’s bedtime meditation programmes too.
These are all just ideas and will work differently for different families. I am sure you are all on your best behaviour for your parents/carers- keep being good.
