Celebrate the end of book week by coming to school dressed as your favourite Book Character.
Can’t wait to see all your costumes!
Who will you be?
Today Room 3 looked at a range of traditional tales and continued with the idea of looking at stories from the villain’s point of view. They worked in small groups to create their very own puppets and perform their puppet show to each other in the puppet theatre!
As part of book week, we have been learning about the classic story of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory by Roald Dahl. In PE, we were working in groups to make up dances to the ‘Oompa Loompa’ song. We had a lot of fun creating our dances and enjoyed performing them to the class.
As part of Literacy Week Room 16 made up stories using props and card ideas from the Scottish Story Box.
Room 3 enjoyed reading by themselves and listening to Mrs Sneddon reading during the Readathon.
Primary 5 have been taking part in a weekly dance workshop at Sir Matt Busby. It has been great fun. Have a look at how we have been getting on!
Today we retold the story of the Three Little Pigs, using puppets, from the wolves point of view. We were all fantastic!
Room 16 worked in groups to create their own drinks. They used a variety of juice including orange, mango, cranberry and apple and they added strawberries and raspberries. The results were great and each group chose a winner. It was great fun!
Last week Room 6 completed their interdisciplinary topic on Burns by having a Burns Supper and Scottish food tasting session.
The children tasted a range of Scottish foods including Haggis, neeps and tatties, tablet, shortbread, oatcakes and smoked salmon all washed down with a wee dram (of Irn Bru). The children recorded which of the foods they enjoyed and those they disliked. There was singing, dancing and a cheers to Robert Burns!
