Parking around the School
Please continue to support access to school for pupil and pedestrians by observing the following parking guidelines
- Cars should NEVER be parked on the pavement.
- Do not block driveways of local residents. This effects them being able to go about their daily lives.
- Walk with your child to and from school and show them how to cross the road safely.
- If you have to drive your child to and from school, park well away from the school entrance and NEVER on the zigzag markings.
- Please consider other children who are walking to school. Always look out for them.
- Please consider ways to travel to school that reduce the amount of vehicles. Wherever possible, we ask that you consider active ways to travel such as walking, cycling, scooting etc.
School Car Park
We regularly remind parents/carers that entry to the school car park is for school staff, official NLC vehicles & deliveries only. Blue Badge Holders are also permitted access.
Unfortunately, we have a number of cars that do not fall under these categories entering the car park every day. We politely request that only permitted drivers access the car park. Any unauthorised vehicles will be asked to leave. Please note that private taxis are not permitted.
Open Afternoons
P7 – Thursday 15th September
P1 – 6 – Wednesday 21st September
Parents and carers are welcome to visit their child’s class between 2pm – 3pm on the dates above. This is a chance for your child to show you their classroom, some of their jotter work and also meet the teacher. Teachers will be unable to discuss individual children in detail or address any concerns at this time.
Lost Property
Please assist in preventing items being lost or misplaced by labelling all items of
clothing, footwear, bags, packed lunches etc. with the child’s name. It is a good idea to
label all items that pupils may have inside their lunch box too, including smaller tubs and lids.
Fizzy Drinks
Cans and bottles of carbonated drinks, including energy drinks, are not permitted in school.
Mobile Telephones
Pupils are discourages from bringing their mobile device to school. However if these are required for after school arrangements, they must be switched off and remain in school bags at all times in line with our Mobile Technologies policy.
Children are not permitted to bring any other personal electronic devices to school. We discourage the wearing of Smart Watches and trackers. Pupils shouldn’t be receiving messages on these during the school day.
We cannot accept any liability for loss or damage of personal items.
