Vision 

Together parents, church, school and community will strive to ensure children will have the best start in life. Educationally, we will raise attainment and improve literacy, numeracy and health and wellbeing outcomes. Spiritually, we will commit to uphold the moral teaching, faith tradition and sacramental life of the Church. In life-long learning we will equip children equally with the knowledge and skills for learning, life and work. We promote genuine human growth, not only for Catholic pupils but for those of other faith traditions.

As a Catholic school our vision is built around Gospel Values and NLC Education and Families key objectives. We are committed to the spiritual formation of our school community. Aims

1.To develop the potential of each child through the delivery of the highest quality of education which reflects the aims of the Scottish Government’s National Improvement Framework. We aim to achieve this via the implementation of the following:

  • Raising education attainment and achievement for all
    • Use performance information to secure improvement for children and young people
    • Ensure children have the best start in life and are ready to succeed
    • Equip young people to secure and sustain positive destinations and achieve success in life
    • Ensure high quality partnership working and community engagement
    • Strengthen leadership at all levels

2.To ensure an inclusive ethos which aims to honour the life, dignity and voice of each person, made in the image of God.

3.To actively encourage through participation in an extensive range of activities, the happiness, health and wellbeing of our pupils, staff, parents and wider community.

4.To enable our pupils to be informed, skilled, thoughtful, adaptable, ambitious, enterprising citizens through the delivery of an appropriate curriculum: Curriculum for Excellence.

5.To continue self-evaluation and improvement planning through a collaborative and collegiate approach using the most current audit tools.

6.To ensure care of the whole child developed in line with the GIRFEC practice model.
