About Us

The history of Christ the King dates back 50 years. The school celebrates it’s 50th birthday this year (April 2026).

Christ the Kingl Primary and Nursery Class has a well deserved reputation for providing high quality service to the community. Central to our success is our strong Catholic ethos and the commitment of our staff.

The process of education starts before children come to school and is continuous. We aim to work in partnership with parents and carers, as by working together we will enhance the learning environment for your child supporting them to develop intellectually, morally, physically and socially.

Christ the King Primary has for many years enjoyed a reputation of high educational standards. We provide a broad and balanced curriculum which allows each child to develop their knowledge and skills across their learning journey. We ensure that each pupil has the opportunity to develop a growth mindset to help foster a love of learning and an understanding that learning extends beyond school.

We have high but realistic expectations of our pupils, both in terms of working hard in class and life outside the classroom. We encourage our pupils to take care of their surroundings, to be helpful and polite and to consider the needs of others. We strive to ensure exceptional standards of care and welfare for all of our pupils.

Parents should note that the working capacity of the school may vary dependent upon the number of pupils at each stage and the way in which the classes are organised.

Christ the King Primary is a Roman Catholic co-educational school for girls and boys from 4 to 12 years of age.  There are 10 classes covering all stages from Primary 1 to primary 7.  In addition, we have a Nursery Class catering for 40 children in the morning and 40 in the afternoon.  The Nursery Class is non-denominational.
