Zoo Lab
Primary 1 had so much fun with Eilidh from the Zoo Lab. We met a giant African land snail, a millipede, a corn snake, a gerbil, a frog and a tarantula called Mortitia.  We learned lots of interesting facts about the animals and even got to hold some of them.

in Health and Wellbeing we have been learning how to look after our bodies, including the different types of foods our bodies need to grow. We loved making fruit kebabs with Mrs Shearer.

Elmer
About Elmer - ElmerWe have been learning all about Elmer by David McKee. On Friday 28th of February we had ‘Elmer Day’ where we celebrated Elmer and dressed in colourful clothes. We worked through lots of exciting activities like ‘pin the tail on Elmer’, a colour walk, an elephant disco and even a birthday celebration including a delicious birthday cake for Elmer. All of the children had a fantastic day!
Mini beasts
Our topic is Mini beasts. We have been learning all about theWhat is a minibeast? - Minibeast Wildlife different mini beasts and their habitats. From spiders to lady birds our knowledge is really growing! We have been so busy with lots of learning across the curriculum and cant wait to show you some of it soon!
World Book Day
Introducing our class book The Very Hungry Caterpillar by Eric Carle. We will have opportunities to explore colours, numbers andThe Very Hungry Caterpillar (Big Board Book) by Eric Carle Book days of the week. We think it is certainly one of the best picture books ever!
We even have our own caterpillars in class and are excited to be learning about minibeasts lifecycles.

We learned about the lifecycle of a butterfly. We were able to name and order the 4 stages of the lifecycle with Mrs Griffin. We created  Lego models of the lifecycle stages with Miss Singleton.

Carer’s Assembly
