Skelmorlie Early Years centre caters for children from 3-5yrs of age. The centre provides early learning and childcare within a nurturing and stimulating environment. A firm focus is placed on children building their skills through an active learning approach based around play, the children’s interests and a varied curriculum . Our centre has excellent natural areas for outdoor learning and this plays a key part in developing exploration , curiosity and an understanding of our environment.

Staff recognise the importance of a caring, responsive and supportive relationship with children and families. The centre promotes an ethos of working in partnership with parents to promote well being and learning.

We strive to offer a language rich environment where children are encouraged to be leaders in their own learning and share their views and interests. Our learning environment offers opportunity for curiosity, inquiry and creativity, to develop skills to enable children to become confident individuals and competent learners.
