It’s Friday! Here is our weekly update.
In Numeracy we have been learning about BODMAS and completing calculations relating to this. We have explored Prime Numbers and Binary Codes. We have also been researching Famous Mathematicians and created information posters about them. Next week we will be moving onto our Money topic.
We have a new reading book for Literacy and have already completed session one on it. We have written acrostic poems about Bonfire Night and we completed a key comprehension on Rationing in WW2.
In topic this week we discussed Evacuation. We compared what we would pack in our suitcases in 2020 to what Evacuee children would pack in their’s back in the 1940s.
It was Outdoor Learning Day on 5-11-2020. We have been doing lots of learning outside. We participated in lots of games and challenges to help us all develop our communication and teamwork skills. This was a real success and we all really enjoyed this.
This week is Dyslexia Awareness Week; you might have seen us wearing blue ribbons to show this. We have also created Dyslexia Awareness Posters for our Dyslexia Ambassador.
For HWB we discussed how to stay safe on Bonfire Night.
