Vision, Values and Aims

Vision, Values & Aims

Our school has always been dedicated to providing a nurturing and enriching environment for our children. As part of our ongoing commitment to their development and after collaboration with our whole school community we are proud to introduce our new Vision, Values and Aims.

Vision

Our vision for Dalry Primary School is to create an inclusive community learning environment where pupils feel safe, respected and nurtured. We will endeavour to motivate all pupils to achieve their full potential in all aspects of the curriculum and enhance life skills for their future ambitions.

Values

Ambition, Kindness, Respect, Resilience

These values have been carefully chosen to reflect the ethos we aim to cultivate within our school community. Each value is essential not only for academic success but also for the personal growth and wellbeing of our pupils

  • Ambition encourages our pupils to aim high and strive to achieve their personal best in all aspects of school life. We want every child to feel confident in setting goals and working towards them with determination and enthusiasm.
  • Kindness reminds us of the importance of empathy and compassion. We are committed to fostering an environment where every pupil feels valued and supported. Acts of kindness, whether big or small, make our school a place where everyone can thrive.
  • Respect underpins all our interactions within the school community. We teach our pupils to appreciate and honour the differences that make each of us unique, while also understanding the importance of self-respect.
  • Resilience is the ability to bounce back from challenges and setbacks. We believe that teaching our pupils to be resilient will equip them with the tools they need to navigate the ups and downs of life with confidence and grace.

Aims

  1. We aim to provide a creative curriculum where learners will be inspired and motivated to develop skills for life, learning and work.
  2. We aim to encourage individuals to be ambitious, passionate and courageous throughout their learning journey.
  3. We aim to enable our learners to become effective contributors within their learning community and beyond.
  4. We aim to build a community which values the uniqueness of all and promotes kindness and empathy.

Together, we can create a supportive and encouraging environment where our children not only succeed academically but also grow into compassionate, respectful, and resilient individuals.
