Dear Parent/Carer,
It gives me great pleasure to welcome you and your child to Dalry Primary School.
At Dalry Primary School we try to ensure that all children achieve their potential in every area of a wide curriculum and leave the school with those skills which will enable them to confidently undertake secondary education. We also try to ensure that each child attains, to the best of his/her ability, the objectives set out for the areas of the curriculum.
The staff work very hard as a team to maintain a positive ethos in the school within which the children will work in a happy and caring atmosphere, where they will learn to be independent, to be responsible for themselves and to carry out their tasks with a spirit of co-operation, courtesy and respect for others.
The school has built effective links with many sectors of the community and local businesses and it would be our intention to strengthen these and to establish many more. We view our school as an integral part of the community and we will do our best to promote that ideal.
In all of the above, the role of parents/carers cannot be stressed too greatly. A number of parents/carers are already involved in school activities and this has been of tremendous benefit to the children. We would hope in the future to increase this involvement and so enhance the provision within the school.
Please feel free to contact the school if we can assist you in any way.
Yours sincerely
Louise Syme
