Job Description
You will be based in the paintshop and will learn all aspects of preparing vehicle surfaces for masking, priming and painting before buffing and polishing the paintwork of the panel to suitable finish.
Entry Requirements
You must have or expect to gain Standard Grade English, Maths, Technical Studies or Craft & Design at Credit or General Level or National 4 or above, Intermediates are also accepted. It is essential that you are literate, numerate, reliable and keen to learn.
Training
You will train through GTG to SVQ Level 3 in Vehicle Paint and Refinishing.

Stage 3: Working Rite successfully places trainees aged 16 and 17 with local employers. Throughout the placement we support the trainees to succeed within the workplace whilst creating evidence to prove to future employers that they are employable. The young people receive up to £40 per week from the employer in addition to their trainee allowance of £55. As well as gaining experience and potentially employment, the trainees will work towards the SVQ Certificate of Work Readiness.
