Forres Academy S1/2 Team Winners at the Moray Schools Tennis Championships at Gordonstoun June 2015 Also taking Gold, Silver and Bronze. A team of Forres Academy swimmers headed off to Tolcross Swimming Pool in Glasgow to take part in the Scottish Schools Swimming Team Relays. The team had a great day with the S2 girls making the final for both the Freestyle and Medley where they came 8th and 6th respectively. It was great to see former pupil, Lauren Hanton competing in a National Swimming event for the first time. Daniel Hannen (S6) and Alex Allan both achieved personal bests for their final swims. Eilidh McRitchie (S3) said: “The day went well and I had lots of fun on the journey and at the pool”. The team were accompanied by coach, Grant McPherson and School Sports Coordinator, Ann Rossiter who said: “This was an extremely long day for everyone, with a 4.30am start! The swimmers did extremely well, we couldn’t have asked for more.” Proud to see Forres Academy featured on the Electronic Screen. Callum McBeath Forres Academy Curling Team represented Moray at the Scottish Schools Team Event in Edinburgh. All were given the opportunity to train in the Scottish Squad. The two girls, Molly and Amy on the right continue to train in the squad with Amy making headlines as she moved onto University. All assisted with the training of the younger ones at the Moray Junior Curling Club.
