Pupils are being put through their paces by Skillforce leader Alan Donnelly who is running circuit training sessions after school every Tuesday. Many of the pupils have joined up as part of their Duke of Edinburgh Award but some for the pure pleasure of improving on their fitness. The pupils are set a variety of cardio vascular challenges which test both physical and mental ability. Ross Fowler (S3) said: “I am finding it fun and active and am enjoying the opportunity to improve my health and fitness.” Shannon Mair added: “I originally decided to do it for something to do in my spare time and I really enjoy doing it for the exercise and fun.” Mr Donnelly is helped out by Social Subjects teachers, Tim Pott and Murdo McLeod who said: “I really enjoy it. It is pretty intense but there is a good supportive atmosphere, Everyone urges each other on and pushes them to go further.”
