A fantastic day was had by all!
Nursery Sports
Even though it was a cold and cloudy day, which eventually rained on us, we had a fab sports Day on Wednesday 25th May. We started off with our races, and then a competitive parents race, we stopped for snack and then started our potted sports. To end the morning  we received a medal and a choc ice!
Super Hero Day . . . what we have so far!!
Today is Super Hero day and we have been overwhelmed by the generosity of the donations given, and we know we have more to come. Here is a taster of what to expect today.
We have 3 raffles, adult, child and Super Hero, Guess the sweeties in the jar, Lucky Squares, cake and candy stall and a craft stall.
Come along at 11am and 2.45pm to have a browse. Hope to see you all there!
small group afternoon visit to the library for storytime
Another small group of the afternoon children walked to the library for storytime. We listened to a few lovely stories with a bit of a monster theme going on, and we got to finish off with a monster colouring sheet. We chose a couple of books to bring back to nursery for our storytimes next week.
Blueside afternoon visit to the library
On Wednesday afternoon the children at the blueside walked to the library for a storytime session. We had a tour of the library,  listened to a story called “Bears can’t read”, and another silly story called “slugs for breakfast”. We enjoyed acting out a story and a song about caterpillars turning into butterflies and we had good actions and had a really good attempt at singing the song. We had a lovely time.

On Wednesday the blueside children walked to the library for our own storytime session. We had a tour of the library and then we acted out a story and sang a song about caterpillars turning into butterflies. We listened to a story about a boy who ate books and another silly story called “slugs for breakfast.” Then we got to choose some books to bring back to nursery before walking back up the road. Everyone had a really good time.
Visiting the school on Monday
On Monday as part of our transition we walked up to  the school. It was a fantastic day so we were outside to play with our buddies and with our snack, then we had a drink and went out to practice our races for Sports Day.

Millie and Evie were taking care of the nursery wildlife last week, Millie took a snail on a big adventure around the garden and then the girls made sure it was safely tucked away with something to eat before they left to go home.

Friday’s assembly visit
Madison received her golden sticker and certificate for trying really hard when writing and copying words at the assembly on Friday.

An afternoon out in the garden
The weather finally allowed us almost the whole afternoon out in the garden on Friday and the children had a blast doing a range of activities. We were, climbing, balancing, throwing, catching, digging, planting,  bouncing, kicking, running, cooking, riding, batting balls, hula hooping, see-sawing, role playing and at times just sitting, chilling and chatting. . . . just take a look and see . . .
