Welcome to Hythehill Primary School’s website.

We hope you find the information about Hythehill Primary and Nursery School on this website useful and informative.

Hythehill Primary School and Nursery was opened in 1965 and is situated in the picturesque seaside town of Lossiemouth overlooking the Moray Firth. There are extensive grounds around the school including raised flower beds, a wildlife garden, a newly refurbished quadrangle with garden, two large playing areas and a large sports field.

We are fortunate to be surrounded by two beautiful  beaches and woodlands. All of which is in easy walking distance fro the school. Within our curriculum rationale, pupils can actively engage in a variety of outdoor learning to further enhance their knowledge, understanding, skills and informed attitude of the wider world.

The catchment area of the school covers the west side of the town of Lossiemouth and surrounding rural areas. Members of the various communities work  together for the wellbeing of the school and pupils who attend Hythehill.

The school is built on several levels. The teaching areas are housed on three floors. On the ground floor, there are three classrooms, the nursery and the ASN base. On the lower and upper floors, there are ten classrooms, a food technology room and a well equipped ICT suite.  There is also full access to a large  assembly  hall, where children participate in Health and Wellbeing experiences through PE.

We are privileged to have a separate canteen and stage facitilty for Expressive Arts experiences.
