Home learning during the COVID19 Outbreak

Please remember that physical and mental well-being is of vital importance and every day young people (and indeed parents) should try and take some exercise and carry out activities that they find relaxing.

It is worth remembering that we living in very unusual and uncertain times and there is no expectation that a “normal” school day of learning is replicated at home.

Useful links for advice on home learning and supporting your children during this time can be found:

https://www.npfs.org.uk/news/

Our main digital platforms will be:

1. GLOW – Staff will be using this and your child should have their log in. Many classes now have Microsoft teams set up that your child will be part of. It also allows access to the whole Microsoft office package.
2. Showmyhomework – staff are using this to guide pupils in home learning
3. Scholar – useful for most subjects, but does not cover every curricular area (only S4-6)

All pupils should now have their log in details for these sites. Please email the school if there are any issues logging into these sites.

Help videos/advice for accessing glow can be found here:
