Numeracy
Pupils can continue to work on multiplication/division at their own level. Continuing to practise times tables and extend to further tables, if confident, is always a worthwhile activity.
Linking division to multiplication is important and knowledge of the fact families.
Hit the Button is a very good online game to practise this.
There will be weekly challenges on Sumdog for pupils to complete which are linked to prior learning. Please also access and practise games on Heinemann Active Maths
Literacy
Pupils should try to continue to read books that they enjoy. There are many audio books available to download online for free while schools are closed. Look up the website below.
Choose and listen to a story, draw and write a character description for one of the characters. Can you write a different ending to the story?
Context
Previously you were researching the first Emperor of China and placing facts on a time-line.
Research the festival Chinese New Year and make a poster about these facts, for example the date, the animal for 2020, red envelopes etc.
HWB – Continue to keep active, make up some games that the family can join in with. It could be a circuit class, an active game or even a dance!
