Hello P2/3! Here we are at the start of week 10. This will be our last week of suggested class learning. For next Monday,22nd June and week 12, 29th June, you should look on the Health Week page to find loads of fun and healthy activities to take part in and enjoy. Here are this week’s ideas.
Rights Respecting (Home) School:
This week’s article is number 28 – Every child has the right to an education. Your right to an education has not gone away while we have been in lockdown. But, together, we have had to learn and try out new ways of making that happen when we cannot be in school. Have a think about things you have thought or learned about life, family, friendship and anything else you have found important whilst you have been stuck at home. It could be ‘how I learned to load the dishwasher’, ‘how I learned to spend time with my brother/sister without fighting’, ‘how I learned to keep in touch with friends’ – anything that has mattered to you. Write them down if you like.
Reading/Writing:
In Oxford Owl, look up ‘Making a Book’. Have a read, then try making your own book – you don’t have to have it printed and published! – just put some pages together. Why not write it as a guide book for new pupils coming into your year? For example, you could call it ‘What to do if you’re a P2’ or ‘How to be a great P3!’.
Maths:
Another mixed selection of challenges and games will be available on Sumdog and HAM at ten o’clock.
Health and Wellbeing:
Keep following Miss McNab’s page for activities and challenges.
Lockdown is tough for grown-ups but extra-hard for children. Practice being patient, kind and thoughtful to everyone you spend time with and talk too. If we can all do that, then we will get through this together and maybe even be better people than we were before!
Take care,
Mr Risk
