Spelling
We spoke about all the different strategies you can use to help you spell words. Find words in the newspapers, online or in the dictionary and practise spelling these words at home.

HWB
Sometimes we feel a little down and anxious, music has been proven to lift our spirits. I am a firm believer in music affecting our moods as we discussed in class. It can also be used as a coping strategy in difficult situations.

• Research and listen to lots of different songs. Amazon, spotify, Apple Music or any cds that you have.

• Take a note of the 10 songs you like most.

• Create a poster with your countdown chart, one being your favourite down to 10. You can either draw this or compose on a word document using all the features we were learning about in class.

• Your poster should include colour pictures where possible.

• Give reasons why you like the top 5 most.

Have fun, can’t wait to learn about your favourite songs and why they make you feel happy

Numeracy

We were learning about multiplication and how we would use repeated addition to solve problems if we could not mentally recall facts. Practice your times tables, ask someone at home to test you, time yourself, can you beat your time as the week goes on?

Keep looking at the SECOND LEVEL RESOURCE pack on the website for ideas, games and websites to support your learning in a fun way.

Social Studies
Watch Newsround each day and make a factfile for the next few weeks. You can compose this into a newspaper article at the end of the time. This would be amazing reading in a few years to come, looking back at how we all worked as a community, helping each other and keeping up the community spirit.

PE
Continue with Joe Wickes PE sessions on You Tube or try making up your own circuit in your house.
