Health Week(s) 2020 – Day 2

Tuesday 23rd June

Today we have:

  • Daily Exercise Challenge
  • Kenny Wilson Workout and Challenge
  • Storytime with Mrs Spencer

Daily Exercise Challenge

Don’t forget to complete your daily challenge and add one extra repetition onto yesterday’s numbers.

Kenny Wilson Workout and Challenge

Kenny is a long-distance runner who races in road running and cross country. He runs for Moray Road Runners and has competed 5 times for Scotland. His main events are 10km to Half Marathon. He’s ran as a senior since 2012 although he did do the sport as a junior between the ages of 11 and 17. He trains 6 days a week, either with one or two sessions and during a big training block would be running 80 miles a week.

During lockdown Kenny has been Moray’s own “Joe Wicks” and has been videoing workouts for the public to be able to access and follow. We have been lucky enough to have Kenny record our very own workout for Bishopmill Primary and an extra cheeky challenge for all to take part in.

Kenny’s workout and challenge videos are accessible from the links before. Why not try the workout today and maybe even complete it 3-4 (or more) times during Health Week to help keep you active, fit and healthy. Throughout Health week have a go at the challenge and record your score, try and beat your score if you can and then add your top score onto the Sports Day score sheet to gain points for your house. (Video coming soon – check again in a little while)

Storytime with Mrs Spencer ‘The Paper Dolls’ by Julia Donaldson

The story and activity are aimed at the younger members of our school family. Sit back, get yourself comfy and enjoy the story! Afterwards you can follow the link to do the activity (making your own paper doll chain).
