UNA members were given a talk, by Anne and Christine from Forres Rotary club.  The children were delighted to be given this opportunity and will continue to make excellent contributions within their school, community and globally.

*Eva & Annabelle – creating a powerpoint about Polio to share in the spring for a community assembly. This will be delivered after the bulbs have blossomed.Rotakids to make 3D crocus bulbs to hand out.

*Alice & Harris – Creating an invitation asking people to come join us to further promote awareness of ending Polio.  This will be delivered after the bulbs have blossomed.

*Rotakids  – an email sent to organise a date for making pledge.  Also, we emailed Anne to find out about how we can obtain information to support the needs of children in Bunon.

*Working with Shirley & Mrs M to find out best place for planting more crocus’s

*Speak with Mr Mc about inviting elderly from forres to AFT

*Mrs B to remind class teachers about  young write/photographer competition

Mr Morgan gave the UNA business group some daffodil and crocus bulbs to plant in the local community.  We planted them last week and Mrs Blair will take 2 UNA members to Grant park to plant more crocus bulbs. UNA will learn about the End Polio Now project and be active in supporting this after the holidays.

Today was a great success!  Once again, the children were able to deliver an important message, this time about International Day of Peace.  Each business group was involved in learning to say ‘May Peace Prevail on Earth’ in a range of languages, sang our unique Alves Primary Rights Respecting song, learnt a Peace Dance, made a climate action banner and an atmosphere blanket with the support of community members. We had perfect weather for the Peace Day ceremony this afternoon. A special thank you to all parents and guests who came along to support us today.
