Today…

Lexi and Amy are updating the ‘Article of the month’ and printing it for the noticeboard on the bike shed.

Katie and Lily are amending our whole school rights respecting calendar.  All classes and groups to review this and use accordingly.

Rotakids planning – Mrs Blair and all other UNA members are creating a plan for taking Rotakids forward next year.  This is what is happening….

*Rotakids Youth Lunch????  Mrs B and 2 representatives to attend and discuss plans for next year with other schools.

*End Polio Now project – This is to be linked with Alves Community Hall.  Speak with Shirley to see if we can plant crocus bulbs in the raised bed she spoke about.  We can set up some sort of community presentation on end polio now to share with locals.

*Partnerships with the Elderly – To promote Good HWB and Sustainable communities we are furthering our link with the elderly in forres community.  We plan to invite them to Alves Funky Theatre (pm performance), hold an afternoon event to promote international day for the Older person (1st October) and have them at school to enjoy some music and movement/low key enjoy a ball type activities.  May have to speak with Sports Coordinators to create a session for this.  Attend next years Daffodil Tea again after this years success.

*International Links – Find out the needs of the school in Bunono and how we can best support.  Research the school and get Anne from Rotakids in to support.  Link this to Rights/Goals.

 

Ambassadorial Work

*Continue work with Shirley and Alves Community Hall.  Reflected on our partnership and what Happened at Shirley’s visit last month.  Intro on who she was and what Alves Hall can do to work with us.  Talk of a craft club starting next year in the hall.

*Ark childcare – Mrs Blair to give Natalie Rights and Goals information and have a discussion on next steps.  Mrs B to make links during transition visits next year.  Invite a group of children for a visit to launch and inform (during UNA Monday slot).

Citizenship Award is all finalised and ready to be presented at this years end of year assembly.

Challenge Day – UNA to work with other business groups to support them in holding an event with school Peace Pole to promote awareness of international day for Peace.  Invite Gavin Morgan to support, newspapers, elderly and UNICEF rep.

Q – Why are adults still messing up OUR world?

PIP – Mr McLeman finalised the Pupils Improvement Plan as requested by UNICEF.  On rights display at front of school for all to see.
