Last week we talked about how day time and night time are different. We shared some of the things we do during the day and things which we usually only do at night time. We had lots of debate and discussion about what time things should be done.
We also learned about diurnal and nocturnal animals. Diurnal was a new word for us!
In small groups we each had a turn at sorting out day time v night time tasks and diurnal v nocturnal animals. We noticed that some of the things could be done both in the morning and at night, for example brushing our teeth and that some animals can be seen both during the day and at night time, like owls and cats.
What an interesting activity, with lots of group collaboration!
