We had a beautiful day for our Wednesday walk this week. We were inspired by a Sport Relief video clip about a 10 year old girl called Champa who has to pick litter on the streets of Dhaka Bangladesh in order to earn money for her family’s food. We managed to collect four bags of rubbish on our walk in Aberlour. Well done everybody and thanks for helping.
Carol from the SSPCA came to tell us about Hedgehogs and how we can help their numbers to grow. We must feed them dog or cat food but never milk and bread.
P1 have been discussing feelings and emotions. We made masks to show a feeling and had to think about the shape of the eyes and mouth as well as which colours to use.
Today we had our Wednesday walk and Ziggy came along too! We found some squelchy mud, some patches of snow and had to walk safely along a road without a pavement.

Today we got delivered our very own Ziggy alien to take out on our walks with us!
We made vanilla ice cream. Cream, icing sugar, vanilla essence, ice cubes and ALOT of shaking!
Afterwards we got to eat our hard work though.
Each Wednesday this term P1 will be walking out and about in Aberlour- whatever the weather! Here are some of the sights we saw this week.
P1 walked out around the school to see the Autumn colours and collect leaves. We found sycamore seeds near to the school gate and made our own seed (helicopter) spinners.
