P1 have been discussing feelings and emotions. We made masks to show a feeling and had to think about the shape of the eyes and mouth as well as which colours to use.

House design and build
P1 have designed and made their own houses from junk. Designs included houses with slides, bumpy coal sheds, multi-coloured walls and flapping doors. We covered the boxes we used with paper before we painted them.

Wednesday walk with Ziggy
Today we had our Wednesday walk and Ziggy came along too! We found some squelchy mud, some patches of snow and had to walk safely along a road without a pavement.

Today we got delivered our very own Ziggy alien to take out on our walks with us!
Making charts
P1 have been collecting data and making their own charts this week to show favourite foods, animals, colours and sports in our class. We also visited P2 and collected their data too. We used tally marks to show each persons choice.The most popular food was pizza, sport was swimming, colour was red, animal was dog.
Wednesday walks
Our Wednesday walks continue. This week we walked along the Spey Way. We saw four black sheep, two herons and some lovely snowdrops. We have made a road safety story about our walks and have sent it off to Ziggy the road safety alien. We are hoping to get our very own toy Ziggy in the post.
Creativity challenge
P1 joined with nursery to be creative. We were artists, designers and builders. We made “Grand Designs” !
