Moray Growth Deal Survey
Moray Economic Partnership is asking people living in the region to get involved with the My Moray campaign and take a short survey to help with the development of the Moray Growth Deal bid. The completed surveys will be analysed and reflected in a report to Moray Council and lead to further discussions with the Scottish and UK Governments.
The Moray Growth Deal is a long-term plan centred around specific projects designed to transform the economy. It is hoped this can be achieved through improving education, addressing concerns around encouraging young people to live and work in the area and making the region a desirable place to live.
We’d love to hear your thoughts on the future of the region for yourself and for your children through our survey. It is available here until 30th September.
For further information, please visit the My Moray website. You can also get involved on social media via Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.
School Newsletter
The school newsletter and yearly calendar were issued to all pupils at the end of last week. Please check school bags as both of these contain important information.
Balloon Challenge
As part of getting to know everyone in our new class we worked in groups to complete the Balloon Challenge that Mrs McRitchie set us. Each group was given 24 balloons and a roll of masking tape. Our challenge was to build the tallest free standing tower using just the balloons and masking tape!
There was lots of huffing and puffing as the balloons got blown up and many learnt how to tie balloons 🙂 Fortunately only a couple popped! Once they were all blown up the groups worked well together deciding how to make their tower. Lots of Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths going on as well as plenty of discussion and team work.
In the end only one of the groups managed to get their tower to stand on its own without falling over – well done to Sophie, Logan, Taylor and Jake!
