Science Squad

P6/7M are busy being scientists this term and learning all about chemical reactions and how to separate substances.  Today they learnt how to separate substances through sieving, evaportation and filtration.  By doing this they have learnt about the importance of a fair test, how to read measuring cylinders and use funnels and pipettes.

Kwik Cricket

This term the P6’s from P6/7M have been receiving some Kwik Cricket coaching from Neil Nicol ahead of the Moray Primary Schools competition.  They have learnt the skills of bowling and batting and will be moving on to learn the rules of the game.

Angle Hunting

P6/7M are busy learning all about angles.  There was great excitement today as they got to draw on the tables!  First masking tape was placed across the tables, then where they crossed the pupils had to identify whether it was an Acute, Right, Obtuse or Straight angle.  Zack said it had been the most fun numeracy lesson he had and he was sure it would help him remember which angle is which!
