Impressive Running

Proud 4/5 Applegrove boys receiving winning school trophy.

Delighted P6/7 Applegrove boys receiving the winning school trophy.

Applegrove’s successful Cross Country season was rounded off in style. On Tuesday 28th March, 4 teams of 6 competed at the Moray Primary Schools Cross Country held at Lossie High.  Nearly 200 children, form 37 primary schools, ran in each of the four age group races.

This year, it was the boys that really shone. Both the P4/5 and P6/7 boys teams each won the trophy for the winning overall school.

The runners showed excellent sportsmanship and were a pleasure to be with.  The school values of challenge, motivation and kindness were all in evidence, not to mention resilience.  They are a credit to Applegrove and we are very proud of you all.

Special thanks to Mr McGillivray for helping with numbers at the finish  and Susan McRitchie for checking shoelaces and warming the teams up pre-race.
