Nettie was very eager to share high-fives and hugs with P4/5C, who were more than happy (and excited!) to oblige.

Bring and Buy Book Sale
P4/5C had the opportunity to put their numeracy and money skills to the test by organising and running a very successful enterprise event on Wednesday, 1st February 2017. The pupils worked well together to arrange the donated books into different price groups and then count up the takings at the end of a busy morning. Thank you to all who donated books and to those who purchased books. We raised a grand total of £200.53 and discovered some potential expert sales people of the future!
P4/5C Celebrate Chinese New Year
P4/5C visited Forres Town Hall on Friday, 27th January to enjoy activities organised by the SHEN Foundation to celebrate Chinese New Year. The children were able to try activities such as plate spinning, Chinese calligraphy writing, learning Chinese numbers 1-10 and some had fun trying on costumes. We were also treated to an action packed show with acrobatic performances.
Investigating Number Patterns
In Numeracy recently P6/7M have been investigating number patterns. We have been investigating the rules for square, triangular and cubed numbers and using this to then continue the sequence.
We also looked at Pascals Triangle and worked out the rule for continuing it. In the pattern we were also able to spot triangular numbers, odds and it was interesting to see the patterns made when we identified multiples of 3, 5 and 7.
The pictures below show us working together to investigate cubed numbers.
