We have been learning how to partition shapes into halves, quarters and some children have also split shapes into eighths.

We did this practically using strips of paper. We also used plasticine and physically cut it up with plastic knives.

We have learned about equivalent fractions and have learned that one half is the same as 2 quarters or 4 eighths.

We also have been halving numbers and linking this to doubles.

We worked together using a variety of materials to make a bridge that would support at least three bears.

Well done to Primary 3W who completed stage 1 in their Bikeability training. They received their certificates and badges at our achievements assembly.

We enjoyed our trip to visit Nelson’s Tower in September.

Primary 4FL are learning our tables. We are using doubles to help us eg 4x table is double our 2x table. Sumdog also has tables challenges for us to work on and we have our passwords so we can use this in school or at home.
