S1 Course Outline 
S1 pupils work in mixed ability classes and will be exposed to a range of topics during the course of the year. Pupils will focus on Level 3 concepts with regular revision of level 2 benchmarks when necessary.

Unit 2 (October – December)
Multiples, Factors and Primes – Powers and Roots
Coordinates – 2D Shapes – Percentages – Symmetry
Unit 3 (January – March)
Area/Perimeter – Fractions
Volume – Ratio – Drawing 2D Shapes
Unit 4 (April – June)
Sequences – Formulae – Scale Drawings
Bearings – Probability
