Netball Team

Photo 1 Photo 2 Photo 3 Photo 4

Newark Primary took part in the Inverclyde netball competition.   We had 2 teams who both played very well.  One team won their section and got into the final.  Alas, they didn’t win their final game so came 2nd and received silver medals.  As usual, we are proud to say that our children were great ambassadors to the school and other teams commented on their sportsmanship and behaviour.  Well done, everyone and thank you Mrs Gilbride for being a fabulous coach!

Primary 7a Valentine’s Enterprise

Primary 7 hosted a wonderful Valentine’s stall, selling cakes, sweets, cards, red roses and heart-shaped balloons for children to buy for someone they love.

The money they raised was for School Funds.  Thank you, Miss Munro and Primary 7a for all your hard work!

P7 visit to PGHS where they were invited to a performance of “Lifeboat”. This was a drama depicting the true story of the survival of two WW2 evacuees who were being sent to Canada when their ship was torpedoed in the Atlantic.

Primary 6 and 7 DoJo winners go to Craigmarloch Cafe

Our DoJo winners this month having a well deserved treat at Craigmarloch Café.  Not only are they hard working, caring and great ambassadors to the school, they are also very generous.  They brought Mrs Leicester and Mrs McGugan back cakes ;-))  yum, yum!
