P7 pupils across Inverclyde were invited to a festival of sports to coincide with a visit from the Queen’s Baton in the lead up to Glasgow hosting the Commonwealth Games in 2014.
The event was organised by Active Schools at Notre Dame high school. Pupils from each school were split into teams for hockey, athletics and netball.
Everyone was delighted by the appearance of Clyde, the mascot of Glasgow 2014.
The sun shone as each school competed for bronze, silver and gold medals. Special mention goes to Kristy McCann who won a bronze medal for the shot put event. Congratulations to all the pupils who displayed good sportsmanship during the tournament.
Many thanks to the Active Schools Team for organising this fantastic event which all the pupils thoroughly enjoyed.
