One of the newts from our pond – unfortunately it is dead! We did see a couple of live ones though!
The pond was a busy place this morning as there was so much to see.
Elisabeth is our fantastically brave person who can lift dead newts without flinching. Scott was very interested in seeing what a newt looked like.
Two newts were sheltering in a corner under a rock. We could see their little legs and tail.
We tried using glass bowls to get a better view of what lives under the water
Lots of different creatures live in our pond – we saw waterbeetles and a sort of swimming centipede thing. We are going to try to find out what they all are.
