Although it is important to identify where we are now, it is not enough to stop there. We need to reflect upon how we can develop the skills where we are less confident and how we can transfer the skills in which we are confident and competent.

Part B – Activity 1
Recognition | Reflection | Action |
Skills not yet developed | How will I develop these | How do I know (evidence)** |
self confidence | by making an active effort to speak to people i don’t already know and develop my confidence through conversations with others
take risks | be able to make sharp snappy decisions rather than overthink situations and recognise that sometimes the risk may be the best option in a situation. not beign scared of being wrong is a big one for me as i usually view this as a big risk
manage time | set limits for myself on tasks and make sure i stick to the time budget as i undertake tasks
act as a leader | this will come from building self confidence and i will make an effort not to fear being in control of a group
debate formally and informally | through discussions within groups i will develop my ability to debate informally and in larger groups or seminars i will try and contribute more of my own ideas to discussions even if they conflict other views
take notes | by summarising the information given to me and using my organisation skills to help the information make sense in my own format to refer to |
